Support Fins v1.0.0  GitHub ☕ Ko-fi
—

Print it support-free, in any slicer

Rotate a part however it prints best, and Support Fins bakes the breakaway supports right into the STL. It prints the same on any machine, in any slicer, with supports turned off.

  1. Import an STL, 3MF, STEP or OBJ. Drop it anywhere on this page.
  2. Rotate it. Red marks every surface that needs support.
  3. Export. Fins come baked in — no slicer supports needed.

Nothing is uploaded. The file is read inside this tab and never leaves your machine.

What's new v1.0.0

  • Full coverage mode: every red overhang gets support, with a second pass for figures
  • Curved, downhill and arc walls that follow an overhang to the plate
  • Cleaner snap-off: tines touch the part's surface instead of biting in, and the 3MF exports supports as their own object
  • Plugins for Orca, Cura, Fusion, FreeCAD, Blender, SolidWorks, Rhino and PrusaSlicer, on the same engine as the site
  • Calibrate menu: test prints that tune the fins to your printer
  • Several models on one plate, with Move and Arrange
  • Any nozzle from 0.2 to 2.0 mm, layers up to 0.6 mm, and thicker walls
  • Resin: pins that snap at the surface and feet a scraper can get under
  • Interface material for toolchanger printers
  • Works on phones, and in German, Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese and Arabic
